By Albert Lee
we are angry because we are angry
and we are marching because we are marching
and we are here because we are here for them
our friends are dead for mental health
our friends are dead for gun control
our friends are dead for democracy
everything was retroactively shattered
gone in just six minutes and twenty seconds
but we are here we swans
blue and white and made of porcelain
not unbroken clay grackles black and blue and
made out of gunpowder we will rise
we will blow color into a candle
today and tomorrow
if it means yesterday will belong to us
can begin again finally
here
